# Psy Arcade

> Psy Arcade is a console emulator for Android TV and Android set-top boxes. It is built for large screens and optimized for low-end hardware.

Psy Arcade provides a gamepad-first interface inspired by classic console systems. Nintendo and Sega games are included and start instantly. Other games load from the cloud when selected, with no setup needed.

Its main feature is direct HID gamepad input. Psy Arcade reads the controller directly at the hardware level, allowing every button to register at the same time. Holds, rapid presses and multi-button combinations behave like they do on real console hardware, including KOF '97 charging and Tekken button mashing.

Psy Arcade is designed for simplicity. Installation to first play takes about 30 seconds, with no settings or configuration. Its AAA+ classics are personally curated and compressed to save space. Some games are included, while many cloud games load in about 15 seconds on an average internet connection. The app works on almost every Android device.

Current release: version 1.1. Android 6.0 or later is required. A HID-compatible gamepad is required; standard AT keyboards are also supported.

Supported console and arcade families include Nintendo, Sega, Capcom, SNK and Taito. Packaged native libraries support 64-bit ARM (`arm64-v8a`), 32-bit ARM (`armeabi-v7a`) and 64-bit Intel/AMD (`x86_64`).
